Race Start Time
- Sprint - 09:00 start
Sprint race participants must have everything clear of the transition area by 11:15 so that standard race participants can start racking-up.
- Standard - 13:00 start
You will be issued with 2 numbers, a bike tag and timing chip at registration. One number is to be displayed to the front for the runs and the other to the rear for the cycle section. You can use race belts but please ensure your number is clearly displayed as above. Do not pin the middle of your number to the belt as it will fold in half and be impossible to read. Race number needs to be visible for the benefit of race referees and time keepers. Please write your emergency contact details on the back of your race number. If you have any medical conditions which you have informed us of and feel that they are relevant to the race please write these on the back of your race number as well.
This must be worn around your ankle using the strap provided. Put it on as soon as you are issued with it at registration. If you leave it in your car, house, kit bag, you won't get a time. Please avoid crossing the timing mats once the race has started other than to record your time. Your chip will be removed very shortly after crossing the finish line, however should you manage to escape from the finish corral before your chip is removed avoid crossing any of the timing mats. THERE WILL BE A £10 FEE FOR LOST OR NON-RETUNED CHIPS and remember...we know where you live!
Bring only what you need for the race in a soft bag into transition.
The transition area is strictly for competitors and officials only. This is for safety and security.
Please attach the bike sticker to your bike, suggest around the set post, before checking into transition. This will be checked against your race number when you remove your bike from transition after the race.
Please also note that the use of mobile phones and iPods, etc... is prohibited in the transition area as well as out on the bike and run courses.
When racking pre-race please do so as quickly as possible and follow the one-way flow as detailed below. Please wear a face covering and maintain social distancing.
After your race you will not be allowed back into the transition area until the last runner in your race is out on their second run. Please leave post-race clothing with someone or return to your car if need be.
Sprint race participants must have everything clear of transition by 11.45.
Toilets will be available on the event site.
If covid restrictions still apply there will be no relay race.
Your timing chip will be your "baton". Runner 1 must wear the chip around their ankle. Changeover will be at the bike racking point. The cyclist may be helmeted and ready to go, but the bike must remain racked until they have received and securely fastened the timing chip to their ankle. On returning the cyclist must rack their bike before removing the timing chip. They then hand it to the runner for run 2 who must again attach it to their ankle before setting off from the bike racking point. If the chip is carried in any other way than on the ankle of the active participant the team will be disqualified.
You are responsible for your own safety. By default keep to the left hand side of the road and allow faster riders to pass on your right hand side. This is particularly important on the corners.
Tea, coffee and refreshments will be available on the event site.
Under present covid restrictions presentations are not permitted. Should that change then prizes will be presented as soon as possible after each race finishes

However the more foreseeable are: Cycle: If part of the cycle course becomes unsuitable then an alternative course will be considered. Run: If any part of the run route becomes unsuitable then an alternative route or diversion around the affected part of the route will be considered. ANY CHANGES TO THE PLANNED FORMAT OR ROUTE WILL BE POSTED IN THE RACE BRIEFING NOTES AS SOON AS THEY ARE KNOWN.
