500m Pool swim
23km bike through the fabulous Northumberland countryside
5km off road run.

The Swim is a radical departure from a traditional pool swim. This year we are having competitors swim 100m in lane 5, then duck under the lane rope and swim 100m in lane 4 and so on until 500m is completed. This year we have increased the width of the swim lanes to make overtaking easier for competitors.

Due to the nature of the swim, it is very important to have the correct swim time. We recommend:

  • you take note of what swim time you declare
  • you do a time trial just before the event and re-submit your time if it is more than 10 sec different to your original declaration.

Entries are not guaranteed until payment is received, so we strongly recommend using a credit card.

12 Spaces have been reserved for the Fire Service through Mick Golightly so if you have arranged to enter the race with him, then do not enter at the moment, you will be entered as a block

** THE EVENT IS NOW TECHNICALLY FULL WITH THE REMAINING PLACES RESERVED FOR ALNWICK TRI CLUB MEMBERS BUT WHEN ALL CLUB MEMBERS HAVE ENTERED, ANY REMAINING SPACES WILL BE RELEASED TO PEOPLE ON THE RESERVE LIST. TO GET ON THE RESERVE LIST, PLEASE REGISTER FOR THE EVENT AS NORMAL AND YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO PAY ONCE A PLACE IS RELEASED TO YOU**
