The Craft Humber Sprint Triathlon is a novice friendly yet challenging and competitive pool based sprint triathlon based in East Yorkshire.
With fantastic views of the Humber estuary the bike is a single 23 km loop and with some steady climbs and fast descents guaranteeing a fast and enjoyable ride which can be followed by a flat and fast two lap 5km run.
With prizes for the top 3 male and female athletes and top male and female athletes in all age groups, and the latnerne rouge as well as spot prizes across the race there is a motivation for everyone to push to the finish.
The event includes a team race which is always fiercely contested between the local Lincsquad and Barracuda clubs and Juniors 15 – 20 always receive a standard reduced entry fee at Toro CSC events, promoting access to sport without the expense for our younger athletes.
There’s also a junior aquathlon running alongside the main triathlon which allows juniors 8 – 14 the opportunity to race and experience sport.
In 2011 The Craft Humber Sprint Triathlon will be the first race in the Gold Rush Triathlon Series, a series of three sprint distance triathlon races in Hull & East Yorkshire with a unique prize fund of gold coins and bars. Competitors can either be automatically entered in the series as they race or they can sign up in advance for all three events and make a saving on entry fees.
