A fantastic ‘half-iron’ event with huge crowds cheering you to the finish. A 2 lap 1900m open water swim in a shallow protected bay in the shaddow of the ‘Couple’ colloquially known as Ebb and Flo who look out to Sea, followed by a flat, 2 lap 86K bike course along the beautiful Northumbria coastline, passing the village, making it easy for spectators to watch the race progress, followed by a 4 lap 21K run along the promenade and coastline and past experience suggests a European style crowd providing plenty of noisy support to help you make it to the finish with good humour and a smile!

This is an excellent mid-season middle distance challenge, making the most of the warmer sea temperatures, and the projected tide on race day should ensure calm water.
