The event will take place on closed roads with electronic timing. The event which is being supported by Northumberland Sport and Culture 10 has a three year development plan, which will see it become a national ranking event in 2008 and making it capable of hosting a World Age Group Championship Qualifying race in 2009.
The swim (1500m) is being held in Ladyburn Lake , the cycle (40km) on a tough several lap course which is completely closed to traffic and the run (10km) taking place around Druridge Bay Country Park . The event will cater for 400 athletes. We are looking forward to attracting some of Britain ’s best Triathletes to the region.
