Alnwick Harriers’ Northumberland Coastal Run

Approx 14 mile run, through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, along the Northumberland coastal path from Beadnell Harbour to Alnmouth Estuary, keeping as close to the coast as possible.

The distance and terrain depend on the tide. There is an established route using clearly marked footpaths, beaches, cliff paths, dunes and roads.

New for 2009: Chip timing. Race information will be emailed from May. Race numbers and chips will be issued on race day. There is no entry on race day.

Race start time is 10.30 am. Transport is available from Alnmouth before the race for competitors only (cost £3). No transport after race. Free baggage bus for all. Minimum age 18 years. Prizes will be awarded in all age groups (depending on entry). Technical T-Shirt for all finishers.

Please note: our back-markers will run at approximately 2.5-hour pace. Support facilities and finish line will be withdrawn after they pass. Parts of the roue are unsuitable for wheelchairs, prams, buggies etc.
