This event is a 4 hr (off road) orienteering event with a difference. You choose to run or ride (fell / trail run or mountain bike) at the point of entry, and then race on an orienteering course that you don’t know until after the start.

The course is set so that it is competitive between the two disciplines as bikes have to stick to the permissive rights of way and runners can use the paths etc. This means that you can compete for the over all win or just try to be the highest in your discipline.

You then run or ride to collect as many controls as possible in the 4hrs, but don’t be late back there will be no free stew left and you will loose points. Map reading skills essential and local knowledge not always a good thing.

Just let us know if you want a vegi option for the stew.

The event will start at 10am at Kudu Bikes in Hawes, and can be entered as a pair or solo.
