Marshall Zone

Our aim is to deliver fantastic events that live long in the memory of all involved.  We can provide the planning and organisation, but we will always need many extra people to help us on event days.

If you are enthusiastic about sport and would like to get involved, we would be very pleas

ed to hear from you.  If you are thinking about entering a race, marshalling is a great way to find out more about what goes on.

You don’t need any experience or knowledge of the sport, but we welcome anyone over 16 years old with any of the following

  • A love of the outdoors
  • An interest in sport
  • Buckets of enthusiasm (for cheering!)
  • A reasonable amount of common sense
  • A willingness to get stuck in.

You can opt for either points towards discount off the price of an entry to any Trihard race for yourself, a friend or family member, or payment of out of pocket expenses.  To find out more, email our Marshal Coordinator Kay Stokes [email protected]

Retirement of Mary & Dougie

One sad aspect of this years’ Helvellyn Triathlon was that it saw the final marshalling duties of one of our most popular marshal couples, Mary & Dougie. They have been our finish line feeders, waterers and chip catchers for a good few years now and although always good humoured and very sprightly for octogenarians they are finding all the bending down and rugby tackling of sweaty athletes trying to escape the finish enclosure with their timing chip just a little bit much these days. They will be sorely missed not only by the TriHard team but by many of our regular participants.
