General Race Information

Race HQ Location

Tuned In, Majuba Road, Redcar, TS10 5BJ Note this is a new and much better race HQ with catering and toilet facilities. Transition area on grass directly outside.

Start and Finish

The race start times are not as yet available as this will be dependant on the start and finish of the triathlon, but it is likely to be around 1pm. The race start will be on Newcomen Terrace near to the bandstand, and the finish will be in Majuba Road outside Tuned In, the race HQ.

Car Parking

There is no designated triathlon parking, however there is a very large car park on Majuba Road which is £3 for all day parking. there are other car parks in Redcar follow this link for details - Kirkleatham Street and Seafield House car parks are free on Sundays, they are both next to Redcar Leisure Centre where there are free changing and showering facilities. These two car parks are a 10 minute walk from transition/registration. (See map on briefing notes)


Registration will be in Tuned In on Saturday 28th 16:00 - 18:30. If at all possible please register on Saturday. Registration will be available on the Sunday morning, time yet to be determined.

At registration you will receive a goody bag containing, race numbers,  timing chip and other goodies.
Please check that you have been given the correct timing chip - it should have the same number on it as your race number.


Numbers must be  displayed clearly on the front of your running top. Do not fold or cut your number at all as this is against BA rules and will result in a penalty or disqualification.

Timing Chip

You will be given an orange timing chip and neoprene ankle strap at registration. Please immediately attach the chip to the strap. If you find that you have to force it on you are doing it incorrectly, please ask rather than damage the strap. Put it on as soon as you are issued with it at registration. If you leave it in your car, house, kit bag, you won't get a time.

Prize Presentation

This will be as soon as possible after the race has finished. Please be patient, the more you hassle the longer it takes. Prizes will be for first 3 male and female in Jnr (U20), Snr (20-39), Vet 40, Vet 50, 60+.


There are countless scenarios which may cause a change to the planned arrangements for any race and it is not possible to list them all. We do carry cancellation insurance which covers most imaginable situations, however we do reserve the right to change the planned route if it becomes necessary. ANY CHANGES TO THE PLANNED FORMAT OR ROUTE WILL BE POSTED IN THE RACE BRIEFING NOTES AS SOON AS THEY ARE KNOWN.

British Athletics Membership

If you are not a current British Athletics License holder you should have paid an additional £3 for BA day membership when entered the race . If you paid the lower members fee then please bring your membership card to registration If you cannot produce your card you will have to pay the additional £3 before your number and timing chip will be issued.
