Sunday 9am start
2000m Swim, 70 km Bike, 20 km
Bike Course to include the infamous Hardnott and Wrynose Passes and the Run up to the imposing peak of the Old Man of Coniston not a Sunday stroll.

In Coniston Water (Out and back course close to the bank south of Campsite)
Bike 70km
From Coniston Hall Campsite turn right onto the A593 through Coniston towards Ambleside. After 5 miles and before dropping down to Skelwith Bridge turn left down the steep minor road to Little Langdale. Follow this minor road over Wrynose and Hardknott pass to Eskdale Green T junction after 17.5 miles turn left towards Ulpha over Birker Fell. After the steep decent into Ulpha bare right and then left towards Duddon Bridge. After 27 miles on reaching the A595 at Duddon Bridge turn left. On the A595 in Grizebeck fork left onto the A5092 towards Greenodd. Climb over Kirkby Moor once decended and in the hamlet of Lowick Green turn sharp left onto unclassified road to join the A5084 back towards Torver and Coniston. On reaching Torver turn right at the T junction onto the A593 back towards Coniston. Turning right into Coniston Hall Campsite.
Run (17km)
Out towards Coniston on the cycle path bridleway north of Coniston Hall Campsite. Coming out onto the Lake road near the School were take a left into Coniston. In Coniston turn left onto the unclassified road towards church beck and Levers Water. Keep to the right of the beck and climb onto the ridge horseshoe over Wetherlam (check point 1) circle the cairn and proceed west along the ridge towards Swirl. At Swirl turn south on the ridge towards The Old Man. Once circled the trig point (check point 2) descend to Low water tarn and onto church beck to retrace back to the campsite and finish.
One of the hardest triathlons in the UK, this event should not be entered lightly. It is a very hard course on difficult roads, and with a fell run on a very exposed hill side.
