Newbiggin Bay Sprint Triathlon

This is an excellent late season triathlon making the most of the warmer sea temperatures, and the projected tide on race day should ensure calm water. This is ideal for all levels, especially beginners.

A 2 lap 750m open water swim in a shallow protected bay, followed by a flat, 3 lap 20K bike course which passes the swim and run location, making this a spectator-friendly bike course, then followed by a 2 lap 5K run along the promenade.

Past experience suggests a European style crowd providing plenty of noisy support to help you make it to the finish with good humour and a smile!

The organisers will be facilitating coached sessions for all abilities by the regions leading open water swim specialist similar to 2009 - please register your interest on the entry form.
