* We do not have a reserve list
* You will need to arrive at Race HQ any time from 0830 hrs onwards on RACE DAY and go to the 'Entries on the day' desk in race HQ where we will ask you to complete a paper form and leave payment by cheque or cash only.
* Your registration will be numbered on a first come first served basis. ie. the first to register on that day will be numbered 1 and so on.
* We will ask you to return to registration at midday when registration closes and at that time you will be issued with a NO SHOW number.
* Historically all Triathlons have a 15-20% no show rate which will potentially provide 150 slots?
* We have run this system for the last decade and have never had to turn anybody away without a race.
* We cannot guarantee you a race of course but it is very unlikely indeed that we will not be able to accomodate you.
* In the unlikely event that we cannot accomodate you at midday your payment WILL be returned to you.
* We are very fortunate that due to our late start time we can facilitate this service BUT you cannot pre register and get on the list before race day. You MUST turn up on the day and take your chance!

Arguably the best organised and besst value for money Triathlon in the UK The Ripon Tri has gone from strength to strength over the last 10 years. In 2007 it was voted 'Best Triathlon' in The Yorkshire and Humberside region by the BTF and in 2009 it became the largest Club Run Triathlon in the UK with a 750 race limit which filled.

In our quest to improve year on year we are looking at some full road closures and some partial road closures for the cycle section and access only enforcement on the stretch of road used as part of our 10k run. Traffic Management has become a high priority for us as race organisers and much of your entry fee will be invested in making the roads both quieter and safer in 2010. Green Light Traffic Management will once again assist us with these issues.

It is often the first race added to many athletes race calendar due to all the facilities and entertainment provided for the families of athletes and other supporters. Once again the event organisers and main race sponsor, Black Sheep Brewery, will spare no expense when it comes to providing FREE bouncy castles, bouncy slides and bouncy assault courses for the kids on race day. Face painting, balloon modelling, a disco and a mobile climbing wall will also once again be provided FREE of charge to all those at the race venue. The main race is preceded by a FREE kids dash for all the children at the venue and each child will be presented with a medal.

Camping, caravaning and motorhoming will also be FREE over the entire race weekend and on site caterers will once again be providing great value for money quality refreshments from midday on Friday until midday on the Sunday. A ticketed Pasta Party will take place on the Friday evening and a ticketed BBQ on the Saturday. The event had nearly 300 eating at the pasta party and close to 600 at the BBQ in 2009! The venue will have a temporary on licence and there will be a dedicated outside bar serving our race sponsors 'finest' Black Sheep Ale, lager and wines on both Friday and Saturday evenings.

In addition SWEATSHOP of York and SAUCONY will be helping to promote the event as co sponsors. They will have trade stands at the venue on race day and will be joined by KUDU bikes of Hawes and SCOTT cycles as well as Skinfit. Herbalife will again be providing a FREE health check stand and there will be a bike set up and maintenance stand available from Friday onwards to assist with any maintenance issues athletes may have. In addition Boneshakers of Harrogate will also be providing an emergency bike 'help point' in transition for those last minute emergencies.

NYP Tri club enters its 10th year as hosts of The Ripon Triathlon, an event which originates from the early days of Triathlon in the 1980's. The club, and its sponsors, are committeed to improving the race for athletes and the Triathlon experience for supporters year on year and the 10th anniversary edition will be no exception.

Meal tickets for the pasta party and BBQ are now available on line at www.trihard.co.uk or directly via the Event Catering Director, Amanda Vipond. The catering throughout the weekend will be of the normal high standard and will as always be great value for money! No need at Ripon to pack the billy cans!!. In addition, NEW FOR 2010, there will be a fully licensed stand alone ''Black Sheep'' bar serving various alcoholic refreshments on both Friday and Saturday.
