Sunday March 19th - 10am
Sunday April 2rd - 10am
Sunday April 23rd - 9am Stockton Riverside
This is a short series of mini-duathlons - 2k run - 5k or 10k bike - 2k run
There are 3 races in all, two will be based at Northfield School and Sports College in Billingham and the third will be the Novice Race at the Stockton Duathlon Festival on Stockton Riverside on April 23rd
Primarily the races are aimed at people that are new to multi-sport and would like to ‘dip their toe’ before committing themselves to a larger event. The emphasis is on trying it out rather than being too competitive. Having said that if you want to try to catch the guy in front, then go for it.
If you are a club athlete and want to use these races as some pre-season training then that’s fine. The bike lap is only 4.5k so you can do 2 laps if you wish. A good Sunday morning brick session.
Minimum age for entrants is 16 yrs by 31/12/2017
The first two races will be based from the excellent Sportsdrome at The Northfield School & Sports College. There are toilets, changing facilities and car parking on site. The runs will be along a virtually traffic free lane next to the school and the cycle section is on fairly flat public roads but with only light traffic.
