CATEGORIES - There is now the facility to show
categories on the entrants to date page and
on the excel download. You can chose to have
the standard BTF categories or define your own
race categories. To do this click on the categories
link alongside your race. When you create a
new race you will also get these options.
To update your details as an organiser log onto
the site and click on the organiser link on
the top right of the page. From here you can
choose to edit your details.
The USEFUL INFO link available from within
each event has now been revised to show the
T-shirt sizes and Swim times.
The home screen has been simplified. You now
only see current events when you first log
in. All the old races haven’t disappeared
they are still there, just click on View All
Events link directly under the words CURRENT
EVENTS and it will take you to all the events.
From either of these two screens you can edit
your current events.
Copying races - To add races for the coming
season, if you don’t want to change any
of the basic details from last year (except
the date of course) then click on the COPY link
which appears alongside your this years race,
this will take you to the add event screen,
but the details will already be populated with
this years information so just change the bits
you need to and insert record and next years
race will be created.
Entry Details - Most races require the same
information from competitors, ie, estimated
swim time and t-shirt size, and standard additional
questions have been added to ensure that the
answers to questions are always in the same
format. So on the add events (or edit events)
screen, if you require entrants to specify
their swim time, tick the box next to the
this question and specify what distance the
swim is over, this will then display on the
online entry form and entrants will be forced
to enter the information in hh:mm:ss format.
This will make it easier to sort entrants
by swim time. Again for t-shirt sizes, if
you are offering a t-shirt then tick the box
next to this question and entrants will choose
from a drop down of Small, Medium, Large,
XLarge. There is still the option of adding
your own additional questions beyond this.
These new fields will also show up on the
excel download.
