An exciting new race in
conjunction with Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, distances to suit
every competitor, these will be provisionally....
Novice: 2k run, 10k cycle, 1k run
Sprint: 5k run, 20k cycle, 2.5k run
Standard: 10k run, 40k cycle, 5k run

The aim of Stockton Borough
Council and TriHard is to build this race into one of the premiere duathlon
events in the country catering for elite athletes as well as absolute
beginners over three separate races.
£2000 Cash Prize Fund
For Standard Distance Race Confirmed.This
is in addition to other age group prizes and will be divided £500
for first, £300 for second and £200 for third overall man
and woman.
We are pleased to announce that local firm Visualsoft along with Stockton
Riverside college are sponsoring the main prizes for the Standard Race
The course is yet to be finalised but
will be very similar to that used for the Stockton Triathlon. The transition
area and event base will on Stockton's Riverside right in the heart
of the town. The bike course will be on an exciting fast and flat fully
closed road circuit around the Riverside and University
area with plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your toes.
The run will be over a 5k circuit based
on the New Infinity Bridge and slightly older Millennium Bridge taking
in the riverside walkways on the university side of the river.
The Novice Race is particularly aimed
at first timers or anyone that would like to try their hand at duathlon.
It's an opportunity to become actively involved in what should be a
great days' sport.
