Midweek Duathlon Series.

Stokesley Sport Club (opposite the Leisure Centre)

Handicap Race only left

11th July

7pm start (get there early to register)

Handicap race start order
These times have been worked out by a mathamatical boffin using the most powerful computer I've got, it's all to do with percentages and averages, don't ask you won't understand.
Kerry Beattie goes off at 7.00pm, Martin White is off 1minute30seconds later and so on until Rob West sets off at 7.20.30. Everyone will then finish at exactly the same time, obviously.
Can you register as normal before 7.00 please, even if you are starting later on, as depending on who shows we may bring things forward slightly.
Presentation for the series winners in the Sports Club afterwards . All welcome of course.
Free buffet for competitors and Jen has promised to bake some flapjack!

The series has been running since 2000, with events being run from Stokesley Sports Club and The Dudley Arms PH, Ingleby Greenhow - famous for their chips. This year we are moving back to Stokesley Sports Club where there will be changing and refreshment facilities.

These are ideal midweek "brick" sessions for the serious guys and great, not too serious, races for those just starting out. Minimum age 15yrs, if under 17yrs bring guardian to sign consent form.

They are classed as training races for members of Stokesley Duathlon Club. If you enter a race you automatically become a member of Stokesley Duathlon Club which is British Triathlon affiliated. The race entry fee (£4 per race, bargain) is also your club membership fee. The increase in entry fee is going to Stokesley Sports Club for the use of their facilities.

Please note there is no parking at the Sports Club for race entrants. We previously took up the whole car park which created problems with other club members. I suggest parking either on the public car park opposite Stokesley Motors or go into the Industrial Estate. Both locations are less than a 5 minute ride away, and all you need are your running shoes.

The series runs over 7 weeks. Your 5 best results count towards the series. The final (8th) race does not count towards series positions. This race is a handicap based on your results during the series. There will be a presentation (with free buffet) for series prizes after the Handicap Race.

Note:- Must have roadworthy bike and cycle helmet, there will be NO parking at the Sports Club
