The inaugural
ADIL triathlon in 2009 was a tremendous success attracting
entries from 480 athletes. Feedback was very good, the venue
and course worked fantastically well. So it's full steam
ahead for the 2010 race. The course will remain the same,
Fusedale will remain in he run.
The venue
is superb with camping/caravans and all facilities on site
at
As you might
expect from a TriHard event the route will present quite
a challenge. The swim will be in refreshing crystal clear
Ullswater, Helvellyn competitors will know what I mean.
The bike will be one loop taking in the Kirkstone Pass (from
Patterdale) and Shap Fell. The run is not finalised, but
will be a mix of road, track and fell along the base of
Barton Fell taking in Howtown, Fusedale and Martindale.
There will
also be a relay race comprising a separate, swimmer, cyclist
and runner.
